  • Cynthia "Cindi" Rudzis

    @CroneOfShards
    Painting Glass Workshop Instructor

    Cynthia (known as @croneofshards) is a stained glass artist with a BFA in Illustration and Visual Communication and over 20 years of experience as a professional tattooer. Based in Southern Maryland, she returned to glass during the pandemic—reviving a practice she first began in the late 1980s.

    Her work merges stained glass with kiln-fired painting, drawing on decades of experience in linework, design, and visual storytelling. Through education opportunities with the American Glass Guild, she studied with respected painters like Kathy Jordan and Ellen VanDyke, building a strong foundation in traditional techniques and safe kiln practices.

    Cynthia now creates both commissioned and gallery work. Her approach is disciplined, patient, and rooted in craftsmanship—traits carried over from years spent tattooing. At Camp Glass, she’s excited to help others explore the creative possibilities of painted glass and gain the confidence to take their work further.

    At Camp Glass, Cynthia looks forward to sharing her knowledge and helping others find their own voice through the timeless art of painted glass.
